About Dr. Kelley
Award-winning author Dr. Sonia Kelley, has written, edited and medically reviewed nearly one thousand articles and infographics about the eye and eye care. Her articles have earned national recognition, winning multiple honors from the Digital Health Media Awards and the Mature Media Awards.
Throughout her 20 years working in eye care, Dr. Kelley has practiced in primary care optometry as well as low-vision rehabilitation. She graduated with honors from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in English literature.
Dr. Kelley went on to graduate with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, receiving her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science (MS) in vision science.
Following graduation, Dr. Kelley’s interest in low vision led her to complete a residency in vision rehabilitation at The Ohio State University.
