Gretchyn is special projects director for Review of Optometry, as well as editor-in-chief and associate publisher for Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses.

She is a former optometric technician who has contributed to Review of Optometry, Journal of the American Optometric Association, and other eye care publications. She was also managing editor of Contact Lens Spectrum, a professional journal for eye care practitioners who fit contact lenses. She has written about many facets of optometric practice, including examination equipment, managed care, hospital privileges, and children's vision.
