Derek Walter is a writer, editor and content strategist focused on technology, accessibility and the practical applications of artificial intelligence. 

When he was prescribed reading glasses, he rebranded them as “gaming glasses” to trick himself into wearing them regularly.

A native of California, he ventured east for graduate school, earning a master’s degree in educational technology from the George Washington University.

When he’s not working, he enjoys running, reading, being with family and playing his newfound favorite sport: curling.
