About Dr. Belden

Dr. Matthew Belden has been a practicing veterinarian since graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences nearly 40 years ago. 

He has owned and operated Runnels County Veterinary Clinic, his private practice in Ballinger, Texas, since 1989.

While Dr. Belden primarily treats pets now, particularly cats and dogs, the rural setting of his practice means that, for decades, he also got to work with large animals on a regular basis.  

Even when he’s not working, Dr. Belden loves to be around animals, with several cats at home. When his kids were growing up, they had cats, dogs, goats, a donkey, cows, turkeys and even a pet squirrel.
