KJ Bannan is a seasoned journalist, editor, moderator and storyteller with more than 20 years of experience crafting stories across technology, health, business, human resources, personal finance and lifestyle topics. A graduate of New York University with a Master of Arts in Journalism, she has written — and continues to write — for top-tier publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Parents, Reader’s Digest, WebMD and many others.
She previously served as editorial director at New America’s Public Interest Technology practice and executive editor for Smart Enterprise magazine from CA Technologies. Today, she writes articles, white papers, ebooks, scripts, blogs and ghostwritten columns. She is the Caregiving columnist for Cancer Today and writes about various health topics for a variety of B2B and B2C publications. An accomplished moderator, KJ loves hosting webinars and facilitating engaging discussions for healthtech, edtech, fintech and public-sector organizations.
KJ, who is nearsighted and wears a -11.50 contact lens in one eye and -8.00 in the other, started wearing lenses at the age of 12. At the time, she was amazed that she could see every blade of grass! She loves writing about vision and has been learning about related topics for her own personal use. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, playing volleyball, working out, traveling and spending time with her family.
