FAQ: How do I know if my glasses are too big?
Your eyeglasses may be too big if they are always sliding down your nose or falling off your face.
Your frames should align horizontally with your eyes and tilt slightly forward so the bottom of the frame is closer to the face than the top of the frame. They should also sit level on your face without resting on your cheeks.
You can test this by smiling and seeing if your glasses rub against the apples of your cheeks.
Your eyes should look out from the center of the lens, and the temple arms should rest lightly against your face. If your eyes are more toward the nosepiece of the glasses, the glasses may be too big.
Finally, the nose pads of your glasses should sit comfortably on either side of your nose so your glasses don't slip down when you shift head position. If your glasses slide down your face with small movements, they’re probably too big.
See an eye doctor to ensure your glasses are the right size for your face.
