James E. Sheedy, OD, PhD, Special Contributor

Dr. Sheedy is director of optometry research at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore.

Formerly he was associate clinical professor at The Ohio State University in Columbus, where he headed the Vision Ergonomics Research Laboratory. He also was director of the Computer Eye Clinic at Ohio State.

He has been a pioneer in the area of vision problems at computers with both research and clinical implementation.

He has written more than 100 articles for scientific and clinical publications and is widely recognized as a leader in vision performance and comfort.
