Izod Lets You Color-Customize Your Frame
June 2014 Izod Personalized Eyewear is a collection of four men's frames that have clear fronts but are available in nine different temple colors. You can leave the front clear, or your eye care professional can tint it to any color you prefer, using a standard lens-tinting machine.
Not only that, you can also personalize the temples even more by painting designs on them (stripes, snakes, celtic symbols, animal patterns, school colors, whatever grabs you) with your own oil-based paint pens.
It's a fun way to get your own custom look at a reasonable price. Ask your eye care professional for availability.

The company is Luxottica Group, which owns Ray-Ban and Oakley among other well-known brands. Luxottica and Google have been working on making the eyewear more fashionable so that more people will be willing to give it a try. Specific design details are not yet available, however.
Plans for prescription lens options are also in the works, according to a January agreement between Google and vision care company VSP Global.

The look cheers up wintry apparel and complements the brightly colored prints we'll be wearing this spring.

Shown here is a new style by Plume Paris called "Clamart," in blues and greenish-yellows.

Frame Trend: Not-So-Mellow Yellow
April 2013 This year's neon colors in fashion have also made their way into eyewear designs. Most notable is the new fascination with the color yellow.
Often, yellow is used as an accent color in frames or is paired with another strong color, as in the purple and yellow patterned frame shown here ("Albi" in the Plume Paris eyewear collection).
Hues range from lemon to squash to citron, and they look especially fabulous on people with dark skin or auburn hair.
