The Vision Council Renews Magazine Sponsorship for 2013
San Diego, Calif., November 5, 2012 Concurrent with publication of the Fall/Winter 2012 issue of All About Vision The Magazine, The Vision Council has confirmed its exclusive sponsorship of three issues in 2013. An increase from two issues this year, 2013 issues are slated for April (Spring/Summer), August (Fall) and November (Winter). In October the second issue of the new publication was mailed to 40,000 eye care practices and optical retailers as a supplement to Vision Care Product News (VCPN).
All About Vision The Magazine is a collaboration between AllAboutVision.com and VCPN publisher First Vision Media Group. The magazine provides eye care practitioners with an in-office, print extension of the patient-directed eye care and eyewear education featured on AllAboutVision.com. One copy is supplied to each practice through VCPN, and bulk copies can be ordered.
First Vision Media Group also offers the option for companies to purchase quantities for their customers, along with the capability for company-specific inserts. This facilitates use of the magazine in direct mail, along with its primary use as a reception-area publication.
Online for more than 12 years, AllAboutVision.com has become the premier online source of unbiased patient education about vision correction and eye health. The site is expected to serve more than 16 million unique visitors in 2012.
First Vision Media Group, Inc. publishes magazines, supplements and custom print products for optical industry professionals and hosts a suite of electronic products such as websites, email newsletters and Internet-based education.
The Vision Council represents manufacturers and suppliers of the optical industry and is co-owner of International Vision Expo. The Vision Council uses proceeds from International Vision Expo to educate consumers about the importance of vision care and options in eyewear and other related products.
