AllAboutVision.com Launches Mobile Site
San Diego, Calif., May 31, 2012 A mobile version of AllAboutVision.com is now available to the many visitors who access the site using mobile devices.
So far in 2012, about 26% of visits to the site have been via mobile devices. During the same period last year, the figure was about 13%.
By default, all mobile users except those using iPads will see AllAboutVision.com's mobile site. As a result, the mobile site is currently used by about 22% of total site visitors.
Nearly half (46%) of American adults are now smartphone owners, according to research conducted by Pew Internet during February 2012, up from 35% in May 2011.
AllAboutVision.com has served almost seven million unique visitors so far this year, as measured weekly by Google Analytics, and is expected to exceed 16 million total unique visitors this year.
Online for more than 12 years, AllAboutVision.com has become the premier online source of unbiased patient education about eye health and vision correction. The site recently expanded its presence offline with the introduction of a patient-directed, waiting-area publication in partnership with First Vision Media Group.
