AllAboutVision.com Editor Honored
By Vision Monday as One of 2011's
Most Influential Women

San Diego, Calif., July 25, 2011 — AllAboutVision.com Editorial Director Liz Segrè has been named by optical newsmagazine Vision Monday as one of 2011's Most Influential Women in Optical.

The ninth annual edition of this popular special report included nominations in four categories. Liz was selected for inclusion in the "Innovators" group for her work as ". . . pioneer in providing online consumer education about eye care and eye health."

In 1999, Liz was a founder of AllAboutVision.com and served as both the first Editor and Webmaster. When the editorial staff expanded in 2006 she became Editorial Director, continuing day-to-day involvement with writing, editing, search engine optimization and overseeing web development. Recently she created the site's Video Learning Center and spearheaded AllAboutVision.com's efforts in social media, including a popular news feed that automatically updates an eye care practice's Facebook page.

Liz is a former Managing Editor and Editor of Eyecare Business magazine. From 1997-2005 she was also Editor of OptiStock, a publication providing market intelligence about publicly traded vision companies to investors. Prior to entering the vision field, she held various editorial positions with Cahners Publishing.
