Cataract Traffic Surges 33%
San Diego, Calif., July 27, 2010 Unique page views of AllAboutVision.com's cataract-related content were up 33% in the first half of 2010, compared with the same period in 2009, as reported by Google Analytics. Visitors generated more than 700,000 page views of cataract content.
The site's Cataracts section includes articles about the basics of cataracts, cataract surgery, surgical complications and the cost of cataract surgery as well as FAQ, news and "Ask the Doctor" pages. AllAboutVision.com also includes a sponsored Cataract Surgeon Directory.
"Our Cataract Surgery Cost article is one of the site's fastest-growing topics, with more than 30,000 page views so far this year," said editor Marilyn Haddrill. "Clearly more people are hearing about premium cataract surgery and are researching their options."
Readers of cataract content spent about three and a half minutes with each page 57% longer than the site average. "A Cataract Surgeon's Personal Experience With Cataract Surgery" is one of the most closely read articles on the site, averaging about eight minutes per visitor.
AllAboutVision.com's overall visitor growth in 2010 closely parallels that of the Cataracts section. Unique visitors (measured weekly) are up 35%, and the site is expected to serve more than 12 million visitors this year.
Launched in 2000, AllAboutVision.com is a one-stop, independent resource providing consumers with hundreds of pages of trustworthy, up-to-date information on vision correction and eye health.
