Site Traffic Hits New High With 200,000 Weekly Visitors
San Diego, Calif., December 14, 2009 For the first time, All About Vision served more than 200,000 unique visitors in a single week, as documented by Google Analytics. The record was achieved the week ending November 14, when 200,516 unique visitors used the site.
The record didn't stand long, however, as the site surpassed 210,000 unique visitors during the week ending December 5.
Visitor traffic for 2009 is expected to be up about 20% and will exceed nine million unique visitors.
"We're seeing traffic increases pretty much across the board in all content areas," said Ron Walker, publisher. "For example, LASIK has had its challenges in the market this year, but our entry page for that topic is up 16% in page views over 2008, and our article on LASIK cost is up 64%."
All About Vision's most popular articles for 2009 have been those about eye floaters, colored contact lenses, cataracts, choosing eyeglasses and conjunctivitis. The most-visited content area main pages are Conditions & Diseases, LASIK & Vision Surgery, Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses.
Of the most-visited articles, the fastest growing were those about blepharitis, which doubled in page views, and cataract surgery, up 70%.
Launched in 2000, All About Vision is a one-stop, independent resource providing consumers with hundreds of pages of trustworthy, up-to-date information on vision correction and eye health.
