Access Media Acquires RefractiveSource.com;
Brian Chou, OD, FAAO Joins Editorial Board
La Jolla, Calif., June 17, 2008 — Access Media Group, publisher of AllAboutVision.com, has completed the acquisition of RefractiveSource.com, a website providing information on refractive eye surgery. Brian Chou, OD, founder of RefractiveSource.com, has joined AllAboutVision.com's Editorial Advisory Board, and will be involved in reviewing articles and developing new content.
Launched in 2000, RefractiveSource.com resulted from Dr. Chou's first-hand experience with laser vision correction patients during his fellowship training in refractive surgery management at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA School of Medicine.
Dr. Chou is a partner in a five-doctor private optometric practice in San Diego. He is also a clinical investigator and consultant to the vision correction industry, and serves as an expert witness for the California Board of Optometry.
