Sponsor of Optometry Giving Sight
La Jolla, Calif., January 31, 2008 — All About Vision has signed on as a National Sponsor of Optometry Giving Sight, a global fundraising campaign established in 2003 to address the needs of the 250 million men, women and children around the world who are blind or visually impaired simply because they don't have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses.

AllAboutVision.com's sponsorship consists of a donation as well as advertising, including an advertorial about Optometry Giving Site's mission, and other communications outreach.
Optometry Giving Sight supports programs that not only offer eye exams and glasses in countries with little or no access to them, but also establish the infrastructure and train the local human resources required for sustainable, quality vision care.
Optometry Giving Sight is a joint initiative of the World Optometry Foundation, the International Centre for Eyecare Education and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and supports the goals of VISION 2020: The Right to Sight, an initiative of IAPB and the World Health Organization.
