30 Million Visitors Served
La Jolla, Calif., May 8, 2007 All About Vision® served its 30 millionth visitor last week since the site's launch in January 2000, measuring unique visitors on a weekly basis with WebTrends reports. More than eight million unique visitors are expected in 2007.
The site's most-visited sections are Problems & Diseases, LASIK & Vision Surgery, Contact Lenses and Eyeglasses. Reflecting the audience diversity, the top 20 most popular individual articles include such varied topics as astigmatism, macular degeneration, color contact lenses, dry eye syndrome, cataracts, and the cost of laser eye surgery.
"Am I a Candidate for LASIK?" continues to be the most popular interactive feature, with more than 480,000 completed online tests since its inception in August 2002.
To supplement the site's comprehensive, in-depth coverage of specific vision correction topics, a three-part "Basics" series was recently added. These articles provide one-stop overviews of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and refractive surgery.
Traffic growth has also resulted from last year's expansion of sections on eye exams and nutrition, and a new content area about vision insurance.
All About Vision is a one-stop, independent resource providing consumers with hundreds of pages of trustworthy, up-to-date information on vision correction and eye health. Content is reviewed by an advisory board of eye care professionals, and the site is accredited by the Health on the Net Foundation.
All About Vision is published by Access Media Group, LLC, a print and electronic communications company specializing in vision care.
