More About Vision Correction at Tylock Eye Care and Laser Center
The surgical team of Tylock Eye Care and Laser Center uses state-of-the-art technologies throughout the preoperative and surgical stages of laser eye surgery. Prior to LASIK surgery, they use advanced eye mapping equipment to create a map, or "fingerprint," of the eye that charts each cornea's unique shape and surface. This information is used in customized excimer laser treatments. On the day of surgery, the surgeon begins by creating a small flap in the corneal surface using the IntraLase laser. Next, the flap is gently lifted and the excimer laser is used to correct the shape of the cornea. Last, the surgeon returns the flap to its original position, where it acts as a natural bandage for the eye. In addition to LASIK surgery, Dr. Tylock performs vision correction with lens implants allowing patients in their late 40s and older to see distant and near objects. He offers several premium intraocular lens implants, including Crystalens, AcrySof ReSTOR, ReZoom and Tecnis multifocal IOLs.
