Michael Tracy, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vision correction surgery. He is one of the few LASIK surgeons in the Roanoke region who has performed specialty fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery. He is uniquely qualified to be the Medical Director of TLC Laser Eye Centers in Roanoke as his fellowship training was conducted at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. Bascom Palmer is ranked by US News & World Report year after year as the top eye hospital in the United States. He has also performed important research related to corneal health.

Dr. Tracy earned his medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and performed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Scheie Eye Institute. He completed his fellowship training in cornea and external diseases at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
