Thomas S. Tooma, MD, is the Medical Director for TLC Laser Eye Centers of Ontario. Dr. Tooma has performed more than 60,000 refractive surgeries and is one of the pioneers in laser vision correction. He was a principal investigator in excimer laser technology between 1993 and 1994, and has helped several excimer laser manufacturers obtain FDA approval. This experience helped him select the lasers used at TLC Laser Eye Centers to provide patients the best chance for 20/20 vision.

Dr. Tooma was the first ophthalmologist in the world to use the IntraLase laser and the first in California to perform LASIK and Custom wavefront-guided LASIK. He has taught hundreds of eye doctors refractive surgical procedures and certified many ophthalmic surgeons in excimer laser surgery.

Jonathan Ramin Pirnazar, MD, graduated with honors from the Chicago School of Medicine at the University of Illinois in 1995. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis and remained there as the chief of University Eye Service. Dr. Pirnazar then completed a corneal refractive surgery fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, and then joined the faculty there as an assistant professor.

Dr. Pirnazar has performed thousands of refractive and cataract surgeries during his career. He has trained residents and fellows in LASIK surgery and anterior segment surgeries. He is noted researcher and has published several articles in respected ophthalmic journals.
