More About Vision Correction at Southwestern Eye Center
The surgical team at Southwestern Eye Center incorporates advanced surgical techniques and the latest eye care technologies into its practice. Prior to LASIK surgery, Dr. Campion creates a unique "fingerprint of the eye" using an advanced wavefront-guided mapping system, which maps all of the flaws in a patient's eye. Next, the map is used to calibrate the excimer laser. The surgeon then creates a small flap in the corneal surface using a microkeratome. The flap is lifted and the excimer laser corrects any flaws in the patient's cornea. Last, the flap is returned to its original position, where it acts as a natural bandage.
Dr. Campion also performs vision correction using premium intraocular lens implants, including Crystalens, AcrySof ReSTOR, ReZoom, Toric and Visian implantable collamer lenses.

What Do Patients Say About the Eye Surgeons of Southwestern Eye Center?
"I am a college student, and with all the studying and reading I had to do for hours on end, my contacts would dry out and leave my eyes feeling very irritated and tired. Since having LASIK, my eyes feel so much better and it makes school and studying much easier for me. It's also great to be able to jump in the pool anytime without having to worry about my contacts! I am very happy with the results of LASIK. My vision is excellent and I am glad I didn't wait any longer." David Lewis
"For the last 34 years, I have had to wear glasses. I finally decided enough was enough and that it was time to have LASIK surgery. Going into surgery, my sight in both eyes was 20/400, being nearsighted and having astigmatism in both eyes. Now that my eyes have healed, I have perfect 20/20 vision in both eyes. The care from the staff before, during and after the surgery has been excellent and I have recommended Southwestern Eye Center to several people as "The Place to Go for LASIK Surgery." If you have been thinking about having LASIK surgery, all I can say is..."GO FOR IT!" It has been the best money I have ever spent!" James B. Spangler
"One of the things that impressed me the most about Southwestern Eye Center's doctors and nurses was the way that you are walked through the entire process. Every step is described, which eliminated any surprises. I would do it again for three times the expense, as it has improved the quality of my life by 10 times." Kent Urbine
