At Eye Care 20⁄20, patients can receive a variety of vision correction treatments, including wavefront-assisted custom LASIK, LASEK, Epi-LASIK, ICL, ReSTOR and ReZoom multifocal lenses. Dr. Silverman was the first NJ LASIK surgeon to use the state-of-the-art Allegretto Wave excimer laser platform with wavefront technology. The latter instrument allows him to create a 3-D map of the eye detailing the irregularities that go undetected in traditional LASIK scans. Following the creation of the corneal flap, Dr. Silverman uses this information to precisely calibrate the excimer laser to follow the pattern and movements of the patient's eye. The Allegretto system allows Dr. Silverman to achieve highly customized treatments, and it reduces the risk of LASIK side effects. For those patients whose corneas are too thin or too flat for traditional LASIK treatments, Dr. Silverman offers the advanced Epi-LASIK and LASEK vision correction surgeries.
Dr. Silverman's experience and training allow him to confidently perform a range of other vision correction procedures in addition to LASIK treatments. He is skilled in performing conductive keratoplasty (CK) for patients over the age of 45 who wish to correct their presbyopia and/or farsightedness. Dr. Silverman also offers laser-assisted clear lensectomy for cataract patients, and he performs sophisticated corneal transplant and lens implant procedures.

Cary M. Silverman, MD, received a Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating cum laude, from Boston University, and he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Silverman completed his internship at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, and he served his residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He maintains active memberships with numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Keratoplasty, the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the Morris County Medical Society.
