Dr. Schneider participated in the FDA clinical trials for the excimer laser and was on the teaching staff for Intacs corneal rings in 1999. He has authored numerous publications and trained hundreds of eye doctors in the field of refractive surgery. Dr. Schneider is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American College of Eye Surgeons, the California Association of Ophthalmology and the California Medical Association.

As a specialist in vision correction, Dr. Schneider is proud to offer LASIK surgery, as well as other vision corrections procedures, which allows him to match the right procedure to each patient's visual needs. Patients are evaluated with some of the most advanced technologies. His highly trained staff perform diagnostic pre-testing and prepare patients for the procedure. Dr. Schneider personally meets with each patient prior to surgery in order to completely understand individual needs and concerns. He personally checks the eye measurements and sees each patient at each follow-up visit. This personal attention is one of the many demonstrations of Dr. Schneider's commitment to his patients.
iLASIK
Dr. Schneider is one of the first surgeons in the country to use IntraLASIK, a procedure that offers superior safety and successful results. The IntraLASIK procedure, combined with wavefront technology, is now known as iLASIK. This technology offers patients the potential for superior vision correction results by providing 25 times more precision than was available with older technologies. With iLASIK, Dr. Schneider offers safer, more accurate results.
For patients who do not qualify for LASIK, Dr. Schneider is proud to offer the Visian Implantable Collamer Lenses. Those suffering from keratoconus can be treated with a cornea transplant or Intacs (FDA-approved cornea implants).
