Jay Bansal, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is dedicated to the research,
teaching and practice of advanced vision correction techniques. He is the Medical Director
of the LaserVue Eye Center and has been selected as one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists"
by the Consumer Research Council. Among the first surgeons in California to perform LASIK,
he is recognized as a VISX Star Surgeon (awarded to the top 100 LASIK specialists by VISX).
He is a leading surgeon internationally as well as in the
LASIK San Jose community.
Dr. Bansal is considered an expert among his peers and is in high demand to speak at the top refractive surgery meetings throughout the United States and internationally. He has performed more than 15,000 successful LASIK procedures and is certified as a trainer for other surgeons.
Swati Singh, MD is also board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, has been named one
of "America's Top Ophthalmologists" by the Consumer Research Council and has been selected as a
VISX Star Surgeon. She is a highly skilled surgeon in customized LASIK and other laser vision correction procedures.

LaserVue Eye Center has four offices serving the Bay Area in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Santa Rosa
and Walnut Creek. The surgeons at LaserVue use the new Custom Wavefront technology in laser vision correction.

The Backgrounds of the LaserVue Eye Center Surgeons
Dr. Bansal received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska, School of Medicine.
He completed his internship at the Los Angeles County Hospital and his residency, as the chief resident,
at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery
was performed at the Hermann Eye Center, University of Texas Medical Center.
Dr. Singh received her medical degree from the University of Chicago. Her internship and residency
were both performed at the Northwestern University Medical Center. She received postgraduate training
at the University of Michigan in aesthetic surgery of the face and eyelids, and was a Fellow in
laser vision correction and refractive surgery. She also studied in France at the Fondation
Ophtalmologique Adolphe de Rothschild, specializing in plastic surgery of the eyes.
Both surgeons have served as investigators for the FDA clinical trials, where the newest in LASIK technology is developed.
