William M. Reiff, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in refractive surgery, including LASIK, Custom LASIK, LASEK, CK, PRK, and Phakic Intraocular Lenses. Performing refractive surgery since 1988 and LASIK since 1998, Dr. Reiff was the first surgeon in the Elgin area to perform refractive procedures to reduce patients' reliance on glasses; the first surgeon in the Elgin area to insert multi-focal intraocular lenses; and the first surgeon in the Elgin area to perform "no-stitch," "no-patch," "no needle" cataract surgery.

Reiff Eye Center utilizes the VISX STAR S4 excimer laser system for laser vision correction. Dr. Reiff's Background

William M. Reiff, MD, graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1973. Dr. Reiff served his internship at Northwestern University and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Reiff also performed research at the University of Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary, studying improved methods of corneal wound healing following eye surgery. He is an active member of the major ophthalmology organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
