Each patient of the Potsdam Eye Clinic is examined and treated with the most advanced equipment currently available. For LASIK surgery, the custom wavefront ZYOPTIX excimer laser system is used. This advanced wavefront technology provides a highly accurate measure of the entire human optical system using ZYWAVE. Then, through ZYLINK, the excimer laser system is programmed to provide a tailor-made ablation profile for each eye. The ZYOPTIX laser uses an extremely small flying spot laser beam that is capable of producing faster treatment and an extremely smooth corneal surface. Prior to treatment, each patient is evaluated with the Orbscan.
