Jane Barton, MD, and Geoffrey J. Brent, MD, are board-certified ophthalmologists who offer LASIK, cataract surgery, and other procedures to improve a patient's vision or reduce a patient's dependency on glasses or contacts. The goal of our surgeons and staff is to provide the best surgical outcome for each patient. LASIK is the most common refractive surgery procedure within our practice; however, depending on a patient's eyes and visual needs, our doctors have several other vision-correction options.

About Premier Eye Care Group
Premier Eye Care Group offers advanced technology for LASIK surgery and other forms of vision correction. Our surgery center has the LADARVision CustomCornea excimer laser system to provide safety to our patients. This system uses the new "wavefront" technology to measure and treat visual disorders that previously could not be detected. Wavefront LASIK, also known as CustomCornea, allows each eye to be individually evaluated and then treated with a customized laser profile during the surgery. This customized approach improves the overall quality of vision with an increased crispness and clarity.
In addition to LASIK, Premier Eye Care Group offers PRK and LASEK for laser vision correction. Also offered for vision correction are CK surgery (for presbyopia), Intacs (removable corneal inserts for the treatment of myopia and keratoconus), Verisyse IOLs (Intra Ocular Lens) multifocal IOLs (including ReStOR and ReZoom), Crystalens (for correction of both near and distance vision), and the recently approved ICL (implantable contact lens) called Visian. No-stitch cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery are also performed in the state-of-the-art surgery center. Premier Eye Group has three conveniently located offices in the Harrisburg area with the surgery center on the second floor of the Tuscarora St. office.
The first step for patients who are interested in reducing their dependency on glasses or contacts is to make a no-charge appointment with one of our surgical counselors. In your 30-minute consultation our surgical counselor will ask you about your goals and take measurements of your eyes. More About Our LASIK Surgeons
Dr. Jane Barton received her undergraduate degree
from University of Nebraska and her medical degree from the
Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She completed
her residency in ophthalmology at the world-renowned Wills
Eye Hospital. Dr. Barton is the founder and president of Premier
Eye Care Group and is an active member in numerous local and
national ophthalmology societies. She has performed more than
1200 LASIK procedures since starting LASIK surgery in 2000.
Dr. Barton's expert surgical skills have created a prominent
reputation known by many in central Pennsylvania.
Dr. Geoffrey J. Brent received his undergraduate
degree from Lafayette College and his medical degree from
Temple University School of Medicine. He fulfilled his
residency in ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation
where he was first introduced to refractive surgery. Dr. Brent's
goal, to deliver professional high-quality care, has resulted
in outstanding results for his patients. He is available
to patients at two of our offices: one in Harrisburg and
the other in Camp Hill. Dr. Brent is an active member
in local and national ophthalmology organizations.
