Jane Barton, MD, and Geoffrey J. Brent, MD, are board-certified ophthalmologists who offer LASIK and other procedures to improve a patient's vision or reduce a patient's dependency on glasses or contacts. The goal of our surgeons and staff is to provide the best surgical outcome for each patient. LASIK is the most common refractive surgery procedure within our practice; however, depending on a patient's eyes and visual needs, our doctors offer several other vision correction options.

Premier Eye Care Group has advanced technology for LASIK surgery and other forms of vision correction. Our surgery center has two of the best excimer lasers available today: the VISX Star S4 and the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q. Our doctors use the new "wavefront" technology to measure and treat visual disorders that previously could not be detected. Wavefront LASIK, also known as CustomVue, allows each eye to be individually evaluated and then treated with a customized laser profile during the surgery. LASIK is a very successful and safe procedure; however, not all patients are candidates. For individuals who do not qualify for LASIK surgery, Dr. Barton can perform
PRK, CK, placement of Visian ICLs or multifocal IOLs.

Geoffrey J. Brent, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has earned a reputation for his excellent surgical record of serving patients in central Pennsylvania for more than 10 years. He is committed to providing his patients with the most advanced, progressive and highest quality eye care to enhance their way of life through improved vision.
In addition to performing cataract and glaucoma surgery, he offers iLASIK with CustomVue wavefront technology and IntraLase LASIK with the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q for qualifying LASIK patients. In order to optimize the visual outcome for each patient, Dr. Brent also offers PRK, Visian ICL (implantable collamer lens), multifocal lens implants and CK (conductive keratoplasty.)
