Information for patients seeking LASIK surgery in New Britain and the surrounding area
The Precision Lasik Group of Connecticut is comprised of a group of some of the leading cornea and refractive surgery specialists in the state. These six specialists include Mark S. Milner, MD, Joel A. Geffin, MD, Alan L. Stern, MD, Stephen J. Zuckerman, MD, Archna P. Johar, MD and Anisha A. Jangi, MD. Each of these doctors is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has completed fellowship training specializing in cornea procedures, including LASIK surgery. Together, they have over 100 years of experience performing tens of thousands of LASIK surgery procedures using the latest technology and the safest practices. Their LASIK patients travel from all over the state of Connecticut, and sometimes from further away, to place themselves in the trusted hands of a Precision Lasik Group surgeon.
LASIK allows the surgeons of the Precision Lasik Group to provide clearer vision to their patients, eliminating (or at the very least greatly reducing) their dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure is both precise and tailored specifically to correct refractive errors specific to the individual patient. The surgery is painless and lasts less than 20 minutes, during which time the doctor makes a small incision in the cornea (the transparent film over the eye's surface). From this point, the doctor uses a laser to reshape the cornea. The incision in the cornea is then left to heal naturally, without any need of stitches. Most often, patients can resume normal daily activity like driving and working the day after surgery. And the best part is that they will notice an immediate improvement in their vision!
