Dr. Kawesch graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He attended medical school at the University of California at Los Angeles, School of Medicine, where he received high honors for academic excellence. He served his internship at the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California, and his residency in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Kawesch is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
