Jerry Jordan, MD, FACS, received his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his ophthalmology training at Geisinger Medical Center before joining his father, Dr. James Jordan, and his brothers, Drs. Arthur and William Jordan, in practicing ophthalmology in Scranton. Dr. Jordan is a skilled and experienced cataract surgeon, having performed over 35,000 no-incision, no-stitch, no-needle cataract surgeries. The board certified ophthalmologist is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Cataract Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
William Jordan, Jr., DO, is a third-generation eye doctor who received his bachelor's degree from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. Dr. Jordan specializes in cataract surgery, helping thousands of patients regain their vision with the latest surgical methods and advanced intraocular lens. The experienced doctor also specializes in glaucoma diagnosis and treatment. A third-generation eye doctor, Dr. Jordan completed an internship at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Hospital in Binghamton, New York, where he also served as a clinical assistant professor for the internal medicine department. Dr. Jordan specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Jordan belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Osteopathic Association, and is a board member of the Lackawanna Association for the Blind.
Randall Peairs, MD, FACS, earned his bachelor's degree from Gannon University in Erie and his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, where he also completed an ophthalmology residency. Dr. Boland completed an internship at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, a three-year residency in ophthalmology at Hahnemann and a fellowship in vitreo-retinal diseases at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. The experienced ophthalmologist belongs to the American Society of Retinal Surgeons, the American Medical Association and other professional organizations. Dr. Peairs is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Thomas Boland, MD, earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Boland completed an internship in internal medicine at Georgetown Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. The board certified ophthalmologist joined the experienced team of ophthalmologists at NEI after serving in the U.S. Air Force. As a skilled refractive surgeon, Dr. Boland has performed thousands of LASIK and other laser vision correction procedures and has extensive experience in corneal transplants. Dr. Boland is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology.
Arthur Jordan, Sr., DO, FAOCO, is one of the founders of NEI. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Jordan is committed to providing quality eye care to adults and children, specializing in general optometry, pediatrics, binocular vision and contact lenses. He is the founder and director of Binocular Vision Institute, an organization that aims to help children and adults with binocular vision problems, and reading and learning disabilities. Dr. Jordan is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and is a member of the teaching staff at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Jordan's leadership in optometry has long been recognized; the trusted doctor received the "Man of the Year" Award from the Pennsylvania Optometric Association in 1982.
