More About Vision Correction at Manhattan LASIK Center
Hear what patients have to say about their LASIK procedures
performed by Dr. Niksarli at the Manhattan LASIK Center.
The surgeons at Manhattan LASIK Center perform several laser eye surgeries, including LASIK, LASEK, Custom LASIK, Intralase LASIK and Intralase Custom LASIK. They also offer conductive keratoplasty (CK), a refractive procedure used to correct farsightedness and presbyopia (reading vision). Sophisticated eye mapping equipment and software is used to create a highly accurate map of the corneal surface and shape. The surgeons then use this map, or "fingerprint of the eye," to calibrate the excimer laser so that it precisely corrects each refractive flaw in each eye.
To begin the procedure, Dr. Niksarli uses a laser to create a small flap in the corneal surface. He gently lifts the flap back and uses the excimer laser to correct any flaws in the cornea. Lastly, the flap is returned to its original position, where it acts as a natural bandage for the eye. Once healed, patients enjoy clearer vision, with more than 95 percent of patients seeing 20/20 or better as soon as the next morning.
