NeoVision Eye Center
NeoVision Eye Center is a state-of-the-art medical eye facility with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area: the first office opened in Mountain View in 1997 and the second recently opened in Union City. At both centers, Dr. Tandon has invested in top-of-the-line lasers and technology that enable her to make vision correction quicker, safer and more effective.
LASIK Surgery at NeoVision Eye Center
Dr. Tandon performs laser vision correction with LASIK for individuals that depend on glasses or contacts because of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. During LASIK surgery, Dr. Tandon creates a small flap on the surface of the cornea and gently folds the flap back to access the underlying tissue. Dr. Tandon uses a sophisticated laser to reshape the cornea tissue, thereby improving the way the cornea reflects light onto the retina. When she is happy with the reshaped cornea, she restores the flap over the surface of the eye, and it naturally heals itself.
The LASIK procedure takes less than 20 minutes and is virtually pain-free. Most patients notice an improvement in their vision within a day or two of surgery. Many achieve 20/20 vision or better and enjoy independence from glasses and contact lenses.
