What Minnesota Eye Consultants' Patients Are Saying:

"I couldn't function without contacts — putting them in first thing in the morning, and having to take them out again for even a nap on the team bus. I was referred to Minnesota Eye Consultants for LASIK, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I now see 20/20 or better — it's fantastic. I would recommend Minnesota Eye Consultants to others, like me, who are motivated after years of wearing contact lenses. I had a great experience — perfect vision the next day."
—Don Lucia, Head Hockey Coach - University of Minnesota Golden Gophers

"Before my LASIK procedure, I couldn't see the digital clock on the nightstand and had to wear glasses from my first waking minute until the last thing before sleeping for the night. For me, it is like a form of being reborn." —Cynthia R., Brainerd

"For the first time in my life, I see clear and crisp. I can see a clock in the middle of the night — ski, swim, and shower. LASIK has affected everything in my life." —Noel W., Victoria

"I never saw the different hues in colors until I received my first pair of glasses as an eight-year-old. My vision only allowed me to see pastels or very dark colors. I feel that you don't really know sight until you've been without it. My vision is not 20/20 yet, but the freedom to be able to see is absolutely priceless. People still tell me that I'm glowing. It's so exciting! Now I also see from the heart! Thank you!" —V.J. Rice, Dayton

"LASIK is not about a better lifestyle — it's about an improved quality of life. I got my first pair of glasses when I was six. At 16, my vision was so poor that I couldn't find the soap if I dropped it on the shower floor. Today, as a result of LASIK, I sit in my kitchen and watch the birds fly in and out of my feeders. I water-ski carefree. I wake up in the morning with the world in instant focus. It's incredible — I'm so thankful." — Gina S., Clearwater

"I just returned from a week of camping and LASIK made my trip so much more enjoyable. It is a relief to just wake up and go. I also see a lot better." — Mara L., Minnetonka

"There's just one word to describe LASIK: miracle. After years and years of contact lenses and glasses, my vision was corrected in a matter of minutes. I was thrilled to find the most experienced team of surgeons right here in the Twin Cities at Minnesota Eye Consultants. Simply stated, they are the best! I have recommended them to many, many others, and all have had outstanding results." — Nancy K., Edina

More About Minnesota Eye Consultants

Each patient is meticulously examined to determine the best option for vision correction surgery. To perform LASIK, wavefront guided technology is used. This unique excimer laser system captures a precise measure of the corneal shape and then creates a customized laser beam profile to correct each eye. In addition to LASIK surgery, Minnesota Eye Consultants also perform PRK and LASEK laser vision correction. The newest IOLs (intraocular lenses) are also offered, including IOLs that simultaneously correct for near and distance vision and for those highly myopic patients who do not qualify for LASIK. CK Surgery (conductive keratoplasty) and LTK (laser thermal keratoplasty) are also available for the correction of hyperopia. Although the surgeons are on the cutting edge of new technology, they are conservative in their approach to laser vision correction and refractive surgery. After a comprehensive examination, a high percentage of patients are advised not to undergo surgery. Minnesota Eye Consultants is also a comprehensive eye care facility offering the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts.
