| Cory M. Lessner, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who focuses exclusively on refractive surgery. He is a highly skilled refractive surgeon who has performed more than 20,000 vision correction procedures. Dr. Lessner stays on the leading edge of technology for vision correction. For LASIK surgery, Dr. Lessner uses the most advanced custom wavefront technology, including the ALLEGRETTO WAVE excimer laser and the IntraLase. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE represents a breakthrough in customized LASIK technology. This laser is the first to be "wavefront optimized" so that the optical characteristics of the eye can be measured and corrected to the most minute levels. The laser beam profile and eye tracking system are specifically designed for maintaining the corneal curvature for each individual patient, thereby correcting visual error and reducing common night vision problems of glare and halos.
IntraLase, or the "Blade Free LASIK," procedure is used during LASIK to create the corneal flap. The combination of the ALLEGRETTO WAVE custom laser system and IntraLase provides the most advanced technology to ensure the best LASIK outcomes for each patient's vision needs.

Dr. Cory Lessner received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta and his medical degree from Hahnemann University, School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in ophthalmology and a clinical fellowship in general ophthalmology at Tufts University New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Lessner is an active member in the major ophthalmology organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
