More About Vision Correction at The Midwest Center for Sight
Dr. Katz performs LASIK eye surgery at a state-of-the-art surgical suite, which is fully equipped with the latest lasers and ophthalmic instruments available today. Prior to the procedure a unique map of the eye is created to allow Dr. Katz to detect even the smallest refractive errors. Next, a corneal flap is made on the surface of the patient's eye to expose the underlying tissue. Then, an excimer laser, calibrated with each individual's unique eye measurement, is used to reshape the cornea, correcting vision imperfections and aberrations. Most patients who undergo LASIK eye surgery with Dr. Katz are able to enjoy the lifestyle they want without depending on glasses and contact lenses.
