The B&L Zyoptix 100 laser has the following benefits:

• The first laser in North America incorporating advanced Iris Recognition and 3-D eye tracking technology for enhanced Safety and Accuracy. This ensures an identical alignment between the pre-operative measurement and the laser treatment for every eye, by measuring the precise rotational position of the eye during surgery, by matching the iris patterns captured during the pre-operative exam. This allows the laser to correct for "cyclotorsion" — the slight rotation of the eye that can occur when the patient changes from a sitting up to a laying down position.
• A multidimensional Eye Tracker that locks the laser onto the eye during surgery at the exact spot as the pre-operative measurement to significantly increase accuracy.
• The B&L Zyoptix 100 laser provides faster treatment times and faster tracking for improved safety and predictability.

More About Dr. Kirzner

Steven Kirzner, MD, FRCS, completed his medical degree and performed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto, Medical School. He has been in private practice since 1985. Dr. Kirzner is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is an active member of the major Canadian and international ophthalmology organizations and has served as the ophthalmic consultant to the Yukon Territories since 1990.
