More about Vision Correction at Laser Sight
Laser Sight makes use of the latest innovations in LASIK surgery for precise treatment, accurate results and optimal patient comfort. iLASIK is a customized, completely blade-free procedure. Prior to surgery, the patient's unique visual aberrations and eye characteristics are measured with sophisticated diagnostic technology. This information is mapped out on a computer that guides the lasers during the procedure.
During the iLASIK procedure, a femtosecond laser is used to create a corneal flap that allows Dr. Moshegov to access the underlying layers of corneal tissue. An excimer laser is then used to remove tiny pieces of corneal tissue to eliminate irregularities that cause vision problems. Once the cornea has been properly shaped, the flap is returned to its original position where it naturally seals itself.
Many of Dr. Moshegov's LASIK patients notice an improvement in their vision within 24 to 48 hours of the procedure. Some are able to completely eliminate dependence on glasses or contact lenses.
In addition to LASIK surgery, Laser Sight offers intraocular lenses and refractive lens exchange surgery for patients with cataracts and age-related visual deterioration (presbyopia).
