More About Vision Correction at Center For Sight
The LASIK surgical team at Center For Sight is led by Dr. Lahners, one of the most experienced LASIK surgeons in Florida. Dr. Lahners was one of the first ophthalmologists on the west coast of Florida to perform blade-free LASIK using the sophisticated IntraLase and Allegretto Wave lasers. Dr. Lahners begins the LASIK procedure by creating a map of the cornea's flaws using state-of-the-art wavefront-guided technology. The map is then used to calibrate the Allegretto Wave laser. Then, Dr. Lahners creates a small flap in the eye with the IntraLase laser, which is safer and more precise than the bladed instrument traditionally used. Next, he uses the Allegretto Wave laser to reshape the cornea and correct for any flaws. Once complete, the flap is returned to its original position, where it serves as a natural bandage.
