Dr. Stephen Johnson received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and performed his residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center. His fellowship training in corneal surgery and diseases was accomplished at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He began his career in refractive surgery in 1981 when he was one of the first surgeons in the United States to study radial keratotomy (RK). He was one of the first surgeons in Indiana to perform epikeratophakia and the first to perform excimer laser cornea surgery after it was approved by the FDA in 1995. Dr. Johnson is active in the prominent ophthalmology organizations.

Dr. Robert Deitch received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in ophthalmology and fellowship training in corneal surgery and diseases at Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Deitch conducted post-fellowship training at two sites where FDA clinical trials are conducted to develop and refine new refractive surgery techniques: Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and The University of Minnesota. He was a faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center where he taught surgical and medical management of corneal and external eye diseases. In 1995 he was selected as the Ophthalmology Professor of the Year. He is an active member of many prominent ophthalmology organizations.
