Dr. Moore is a refractive surgery innovator, having been involved in the FDA's original LASIK safety trials. He has received special recognition from The LASIK Institute for his work with refractive surgery. Dr. Moore and his team have performed more than 50,000 combined laser vision correction procedures.

In addition to LASIK, Dr. Moore offers a variety of eye care services, including cataract surgery, at his College Station and Houston office locations. More About Vision Correction at International EyeCare Laser & Lifestyle Center

Working with the most advanced technology is important to the team at International EyeCare. The team uses a combination of sophisticated lasers and diagnostic instrumentation to deliver safe and effective treatment.

Wavefront technology maps out a patient's eye in great detail, helping Dr. Moore customize the LASIK procedure for optimal precision and accuracy. After wavefront technology takes a "fingerprint of the eye," this information is used to calibrate the surgical laser that modifies the corneal tissue.

During LASIK, the surgeon creates a thin corneal flap and gently folds it back to access the underlying corneal tissue. If the patient is having all-laser LASIK, this step is performed with a femtosecond laser. Otherwise, the surgeon uses an instrument called a microkeratome. The surgeon then uses an excimer laser to remove some of the corneal tissue. The goal is to reshape the cornea so its focusing abilities are enhanced, thereby improving the patient's vision. Once the surgeon is pleased with the newly shaped cornea, the flap is put back into place to cover the treated area. The flap seals itself, and the eye heals on its own.

What Do Patients Say About International EyeCare?

"I've been wearing glasses and contacts for 25 years and the thought of LASIK surgery was a bit unsettling. But after meeting with and talking to Dr. Moore and his staff, I quickly realized I should have done this years ago. The results have been tremendous. My vision is much better than it ever was before. The freedom from glasses and contacts is a very welcome change, I love my new vision!" —Adam Wexler

"Just had my last post-LASIK follow-up this morning, and I'm seeing three lines BETTER than 20/20! Words can't describe how amazing it is to have such great vision without glasses or contacts. Immeasurable THANKS to your staff for such fantastic care!" —Amanda S.

"The entire staff and procedure went way beyond my expectations. The surgery was simply amazing and the personal commitment the staff has to the patients is remarkable. Again I was 'blown away' by my new vision and on how the entire staff acted. Keep up the great work!!!!" —Robert Logan

"Freedom!! After 37 years of being tied to glasses (first thing on in the morning, last thing off at night), I'm finally free to purchase (and lose) stylish sunglasses. I'm able to see a golf ball on the green, and to take photos without glass reflection. Freedom!!!" —Tom Voth
