Dr. Chaim Goldberg
Serving patients seeking laser vision correction, including LASEK in Toronto and the surrounding area

Dr. Goldberg has been featured in various consumer media publications.
Chaim Goldberg, MD, FRCSC, is a highly respected, board-certified ophthalmologist who has successfully treated more than 100,000 patients throughout his career. Dr. Goldberg is a very compassionate and caring Toronto LASIK eye surgeon who strives to provide each patient with individualized and boutique medical care. He goes out of his way to get to know each patient. Unlike many other surgeons who do not perform the initial consultation and may not even meet the patient until the day of the procedure, Dr. Goldberg personally interacts with his patients from beginning to end of the treatment process. He understands that patients may sometimes be apprehensive about medical procedures and takes the time to explain each step of the procedure and answer any questions his patients may have. Dr. Goldberg builds long-term relationships that are based on trust, personal care and compassion. He personally performs all pre-screening examinations, addresses all of the patient's questions and concerns, performs the surgery and follows up after the procedure. It is not unusual for Dr. Goldberg to call patients on the weekends to ensure they have received the best possible eye care and are feeling well postoperatively. Dr. Goldberg offers compassionate support during every step of the patient's LASEK procedure. His role is to make each patient feel comfortable and guide them along their life-changing experience of achieving better vision. His bedside manner and care are unique and personal.
Dr. Goldberg has a special focus on safety and offers the LASEK procedure. During LASEK, NO FLAP is created, and there is NO CUTTING of the eye or cornea. The LASEK procedure is a SIMPLER AND SAFER procedure than LASIK, and many patients who are not candidates for LASIK can be approved for LASEK. Any patient who does not want his or her eyes cut can opt for LASEK. Policemen, firemen, athletes, and other patients with vision intensive occupations are good candidates for LASEK.
Dr. Goldberg is widely respected by his peers and is considered a leading authority in the field of refractive surgery. He has been featured in a variety of consumer media publications and programs. He is a regular guest on Toronto's TALK 640 call-in radio show, "Focus on Vision," and serves as the ophthalmology expert for Canadian Health and Lifestyle Magazine. He has also appeared on The Rogers "Daytime" show and on GlobalTV.
The combination of Dr. Goldberg's extensive expertise and his focus on the best care for each and every patient helps to ensure an optimal result from laser eye surgery.
