More About Vision Correction at Laser Vision Correction
To perform LASIK surgery, Dr. Frantz first uses the advanced WaveScan 3D system to obtain a detailed map of the unique imperfections affecting the patient's vision. The information is then used by the leading-edge CustomVue technology to design an individual treatment plan for each vision correction patient. Dr. Franz uses the femtosecond laser to create the corneal flap, a thin piece of tissue that is folded back to expose the underlying cornea. When using a laser rather than a surgical blade, the process of creating the corneal flap is much more precise, comfortable and safe. Next, Dr. Frantz uses the NASA-approved VISX Star 4 excimer laser to reshape the underlying corneal tissue, thereby correcting most visual flaws and providing patients with near-perfect vision, often greatly reducing or completely eliminating their need for corrective eyewear.
Patients receive quality care with Dr. Frantz's expert hands and advanced technology.
"It's so exhilarating to see patients who have spent all of their lives with glasses come back for their postoperative visits and be thrilled and thankful that they don't need them anymore." Dr. Frantz
