More About Laser Vision Correction at Eastside Eye Center
Eastside Eye Center is a premier surgical facility that offers state-of-the-art technology for the correction of a variety
of vision conditions. Dr. Roël meticulously evaluates each patient to ensure optimum surgical results. Also, he has his own
Ambulatory Surgery Center (Westside Eye Center) for easy scheduling.
For LASIK surgery, he reshapes the cornea using custom laser technology. This technology provides precise vision
correction and faster recovery of vision with less risk of scarring and post-operative discomfort.
Dr. Roël also performs the implantable contact lens procedure. He was the first surgeon in South Carolina to implant
the Staar Visian Implantable Collamer Lens to treat varying degrees of nearsightedness. For those with cataracts, he
also offers multifocal lenses that simultaneously correct for reading, intermediate, and distance vision, offering his patients
freedom from reading glasses or bifocals to improve vision for everyday life. For those who use only reading
