Randall E. Dr. Cole and his medical team perform LASEK vision correction surgery with the state-of-the-art VISX Star S4 excimer laser. This leading-edge system is combined with the latest wavefront technology, which allows Dr. Cole and his eye surgeons to precisely identify each patient's unique refractive errors for a truly customized treatment and outstanding vision correction results.
LASEK is a variation of LASIK eye surgery that does not involve the creation of the corneal flap. Instead, the outer layer of the cornea is removed using a brush. Next, Dr. Cole uses the excimer laser technology to reshape the corneal tissue, correcting even the smallest visual flaws. Following surgery, Dr. Cole inserts a bandage contact lens into the patient's eye to protect the corneal tissue as it regenerates over a period of three to five days. LASEK is an effective vision correction treatment for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Patients who undergo the LASEK procedure under the meticulous care of Dr. Cole and his team gradually achieve improved vision, usually resulting in a reduced dependency on glasses and contact lenses.

Randall E. Cole, MD, FACS, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He completed his medical education, internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. Prior to founding BoozmanHof Eye Surgery and Laser Center, Dr. Cole served as an eye surgeon in a private practice in Florida. He is affiliated with many academic and professional organizations, including the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
