He has focused his whole career on vision correction surgery. Before becoming a Clearly LASIK surgeon, he served as Medical Director of laser eye centers in Canada, at Restore Vision, and at LASIK Vision Centers in San Diego. He is considered a leader in his field and was the first surgeon in Western North America to use the Bausch and Lomb Z-100 laser. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Michael Mockovak, MD, received his medical degree from Yale University, School of Medicine, and performed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
