Clavenna Vision Institute uses only the latest vision technology, including the VISX STAR S4 excimer laser platform, the world’s leading LASIK device. Drs. Clavenna and Fitzgerald use the VISX STAR S4 to perform both standard and CustomVue LASIK procedures. When performing CustomVue LASIK, they use WaveScan technology to create a detailed map of the eye that is as unique as a fingerprint, capturing imperfections of the cornea 25 times more precisely than standard methods.
Dr. Clavenna and Dr. Fitzgerald will educate you about your individual procedure and thoroughly address all of your concerns regarding your treatment. During your free LASIK consultation, the doctor will perform a full eye evaluation to determine if you are a LASIK candidate and will share insight to guide you on the best vision correction path.

More about the Clavenna Vision Institute
Clavenna Vision Institute is dedicated to offering comprehensive eye care to all of our patients — from eye exams and contact lenses to the medical and surgical treatment of various ocular conditions and diseases. We offer a variety of state-of-the-art procedures, including LASIK, PRK, CK, cataract surgery and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
In addition to traditional LASIK, the surgical team at Clavenna Vision Institute provides the IntraLase method. In contrast to traditional LASIK, which uses a microkeratome (bladed instrument) to create the corneal flap associated with this procedure, the IntraLase method uses a laser. Patients with thin corneas who are ineligible for other refractive surgeries often make great candidates for LASIK surgery with IntraLase.
What Clavenna Vision Institute Patients Are Saying
"You made me feel very comfortable, confidant, and safe - before, during and after the LASIK surgery. You've given me freedom, which is totally amazing, and I feel like a child seeing the world all over again for the first time. Everything is so crisp, clear and sharp. I can never thank you enough!" Allison C.
"Dr. Clavenna was very confident and reassuring, which made me feel at ease. Never once did I worry about the procedure. When it was over, I couldn’t believe it; there was absolutely no pain or discomfort. My vision was instantly improved and it all happened in less than a half hour! What a miracle! Each day when I wake up and don’t have to reach for my glasses or put in my contacts to see, I am reminded about how grateful I am for Dr. Clavenna and his staff." Julie P.
