What Do Patients Say About Their Experiences With Clarkson Eyecare?
"After a visit to another area provider I decided to find somewhere that actually cared for its patients and didn't make me feel like I was part of a cattle call. I quickly discovered that Clarkson is the place for me! I don't think I can tell you enough how much I appreciate all you do." Meagan S.
"The Clarkson team always bends over backwards to assist. They do not rush you like other places. I feel fortunate to go to a place where I am treated like a patient as opposed to being treated like a customer. Thank you Clarkson Eyecare – I wish I would have found you years ago." Luke P.
"I had gone to Clarkson for eye exams and when considering LASIK they were my first choice. They made it easy and stress free. Now I see 20/20 and love it! Thank you!" Guy S.
At Clarkson Eyecare, the ophthalmologists use advanced laser technology to provide patients with customized vision correction. Clarkson Eyecare is equipped with WaveLight FS200 and ALLEGRETTO WAVE® Eye-Q laser technology to deliver personally tailored vision correction results.
Before starting LASIK surgery, the laser eye surgeon uses wavefront diagnostic technology to generate a distinct "fingerprint" of the eye's refractive error, including extremely subtle vision errors referred to as higher order aberrations. The ophthalmologist utilizes the imaged data to calibrate the excimer laser used to re-shape the curvature of the cornea.
The St. Louis eye surgeon starts LASIK surgery by using the Wavelight femtosecond laser to make a miniscule flap in the cornea. He carefully folds the flap back to access the underlying corneal tissue. Using the excimer laser, the eye surgeon re-contours the curvature of the cornea, meanwhile correcting the refractive error effecting the patient's nearsightedness, farsightedness and / or astigmatism. Once the process is completed, he gently returns the corneal flap back to its original position, where it naturally re-seals itself to the eye without the need for stitches. St. Louis LASIK patients at Clarkson Eyecare do not feel any pain during surgery. Typically, they detect an improvement in vision within 24 to 48 hours following the LASIK procedure. Patients frequently find that they no longer need to depend on daily prescription eyewear to see clearly. In addition, over 99 percent of patients achieve 20/20 vision or better after undergoing LASIK surgery.
