Vision Correction at Christenbury Eye Center
Dr. Christenbury offers state-of-the-art laser technology to all his patients, ensuring a customized laser vision correction experience. Christenbury Eye Center is equipped with the ZEISS VISUMAX femtosecond laser, as well as the VISX STAR S4 excimer laser system, to provide LASIK patients with highly accurate results in a safe manner.
Before starting LASIK surgery, Dr. Christenbury uses wavefront computer-guided technology to make a map, or "fingerprint," of each person's eye imperfections, including extremely subtle deviations that are often referred to as "higher order aberrations." He then uses this diagnostic data to calibrate the excimer laser that he will later use to reshape the patient's problematic cornea.
Dr. Christenbury begins the procedure by employing the femtosecond laser to create a tiny flap. This laser pulses 500,000 times a second. Not to mention, patients say they feel nothing during the procedure. He gently pulls back the flap to expose the corneal tissue underneath. Using the excimer laser, Dr. Christenbury next reshapes the corneal tissue for better vision. He carefully repositions the corneal flap in its original position. There, the flap will re-seal itself to the eye without any need for stitches.
LASIK surgery should not be painful, and patients typically notice an improvement in vision within 24 to 48 hours following surgery. In addition, most patients no longer need to rely on prescription or contact lenses to see clearly. 98 percent of Dr. Christenbury's patients achieve 20/20 or better vision!

What Dr. Christenbury's Patients Say
"Dear Dr. Christenbury, although I left your eye center convinced that I wanted [you] to perform my eye procedure, I still felt obligated to myself to check out another LASIK center. Your staff even encouraged me so that that I would feel comfortable with my decision. There was no comparison! While the price was similar, the technology and knowledgeable staff just didn't compare to Christenbury Eye Center. My decision was confirmed." –Michele Boerma, 20/20 Vision
"WaveFront Custom iLASIK is by far the best thing that I have ever done for myself! I had absolutely no side effects. In fact, I had 20/20 vision immediately after surgery. "Thank you so much Dr. Christenbury, for the WaveFront Guided Custom iLASIK experience. The entire staff was very helpful and informative about what to expect during the painless procedure. Again, thank you so much for the 20/20!" –Rob Moss, 20/20 Both Eyes!
