More About Vision Correction at The Center for LASIK
The eye surgeons of The Center for LASIK perform bladeless custom LASIK eye surgery, a procedure involving the use of the Allegretto WaveLight refractive suite. This highly sophisticated vision correction treatment allows Drs. Gailitis and Burks to maintain a high standard of patient safety and comfort while obtaining the best vision correction results possible.
During the LASIK procedure, the surgeons at The Center for LASIK use advanced diagnostics to analyze the eye's unique refractive errors, which are later used to correct the patient's vision. Next, they use the WaveLight F5200 femtosecond laser to create the corneal flap, which is gently lifted back to expose the underlying tissue. The WaveLight Allegretto Eye-Q excimer laser is then used to reshape the cornea, thereby correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and/or astigmatism. The corneal flap is then returned to its original position, where it acts as a natural bandage for the eye. Following LASIK eye surgery, all patients are able to achieve improved vision, usually without the need for corrective eyewear.
What Do Patients Say About the Eye Surgeons of The Center for LASIK?
"I want to let you all know how glad I am that I chose this office for my LASIK procedure. After wearing corrective glasses and contacts for over 50 years, I'm excited that I'm really seeing the world for the first time in my life. I won't need to miss out on things I want to do because of my eyesight any more. It has been 6 days now since my surgery and although I am still healing, I have never seen better. I don't need any reading glasses for small print and my far vision is fantastic. My vision far exceeds my expectations. I am back to work (on my computer) with no problems. You are all just wonderful! I felt comfortable immediately and knew I would get the Absolute best care to be had anywhere. Thank you a million times..." Gayle D.
