Dr. William Boothe is the medical director and chief surgeon of the Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center, a state-of-the-art Dallas LASIK facility. Dr. Boothe uses only the newest and latest custom wavefront technology. His center offers  the Allegreto Wave and the iFS Advanced Femtosecond laser. In addition, Dr. Boothe may in some cases utilize the VISX StarS4 IR CustomVue excimer laser system. William A. Boothe, MD, is a native Texan who received his undergraduate degree from Rice University with honors. He received his medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and served his residency in Ophthalmology at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. He did specialty fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the world-renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. He is widely respected by his peers and is in high demand as a speaker to lecture about advances in vision correction surgery. He was the first surgeon in the Dallas area to use an FDA-approved excimer laser for refractive surgery and one of the first three surgeons in to incorporate the microkeratome into the laser eye surgery procedure. Dr. Boothe is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
