Dr. Bond and his staff at Bond Eye Associates focus on providing LASIK patients from Bloomington, Peoria and the surrounding area with personalized and customized vision care. William Bond, MD, FACS, is a board-certified Ophthalmologist and specialist in cataract, refractive, and laser eye surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1973, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He later earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Peoria School of Medicine and completed advanced eye surgery training at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Bond currently serves as Medical Director of Bond Eye Associates and the Illinois Valley Eye Laser Institute. He is a member of the faculty at the Peoria School of Medicine where he regularly lectures on the subject of refractive surgery and advanced cataract surgical techniques. Additionally, Dr. Bond serves on the editorial board of multiple professional journals including EyeWorld, Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today, and Review of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Bond is affiliated with a number of professional medical societies, some of which include Phi Beta Kappa, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society, the Tazewell County Medical Society, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons.
